Tom joined the AWMC as assistant accompanist in 2007. He completed
his Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree at the School of Music –
Conservatorium of Monash University in 2006.
Throughout his studies Tom was been the recipient of numerous prizes
and awards, most notably the Joan Earle Prize for Excellence in
Piano Studies, both in 2002 and in 2004.
In 2002 and 2006 Tom also won the annual and heavily contested
Concerto Competition at Monash University. Tom has performed in
numerous prestigious venues both within and beyond Melbourne, including
Robert Blackwood Hall (Monash University), Melba Hall (Melbourne
University), BMW Edge Auditorium (Federation Square, Melbourne)
and Her Majesty’s Theatre (Ballarat).
Tom is currently studying with Kenji Fujimura, and has also completed
a Bachelor of Laws. He commenced his articles this year and hopes
to pursue work in the field of international migration.
At the start of 2008, Tom took on the position as Principal Accompanist

Lester has recently joined the AWMC in the position of Assistant
Accompanist.
Lester is a talented young pianist, accompanist and teacher with
interest ranging from solo classical piano music to musical theatre.
In 2006, he completed a Bachelor of Arts/ Music and in 2007, he
completed honours majoring in piano performance at Monash University.
He has being studying piano with Robert Chamberlain for the duration
of his university degrees.
During the years of his double degree of Music and Arts, Lester
has regularly performed in twilight concerts, lunchtime concerts
and workshops as a soloist, an accompanist and as a chamber musician.
He performed in the CD “Live at Bernies” with Monash
piano students, released in 2004; was part of the orchestra in Monash’s
production of Carmina Burana where he performed with the Monash
wind symphony,Viva Voca and some of Melbourne’s top musicians.
Last year he was proud to be part of the “Timeless”
concert series which was produced by our good friend Tom Buchanan.
Lester had also been the pianist for many productions such as “Sweet
Charity” (2002) and “Annie” with Aquinas College
(2003), “Guys and Dolls” (2006) for Windmill Theatre
Company, “Hansel and Gretel” (2005) with Accent Music
and “Footlose” (2006) with BUST Co.
Lester is very honoured to be able to be a member of the Australian
Welsh Male Choir and is grateful for the warm welcome he has received.
